Column: Wobbly Will Wade is still standing, despite a succession of bad headlines. LSU is standing with him, but three infractions case experts think the NCAA will have a case against him (and LSU football): "You've got some explaining to do."
It's the football part that scares me. Vadal Alexander hasn't played at LSU since the 2015 season yet LSU could suffer penalties because of the Funes scandal.

Wade is reviled by his peers as a next-level cheater.

Seems like he’s insinuating that the coaches he is a mouthpiece for are also cheaters.

The NCAA has evidence that Wade was involved in paying players according to the sources I have.

Pretty funny. If you're guilty then it's not so funny.

Yep. They do. Just waiting to send that NOA bc of covid and that squirrel that tested positive for bubonic plague in Colorado.

Covid slowed everything down, but the squirrel brought the entire thing to a halt

Dickie V will be updating soon. Stay tuned for his impeccable sources

Dealing with a “Shaq” right now. No water no electricity and no mood for a POS like Pat Ford or Dickie V who take every opportunity to step on LSU.

They have referred it to this independent committee.Independent Accountability Resolution Process
In 2018, NCAA membership made sweeping changes to the investigations and infractions process that created independent groups to prevent conflicts of interest. NCAA Division I cases deemed complex are now eligible for the Independent Accountability Resolution Process (IARP) Examples of complex cases include alleged violations of core NCAA values, such as prioritizing academics and the well-being of student-athletes; the possibility of major penalties; or adversarial behavior. Multiple parties are able to request a case be deemed complex: school representatives, NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions members or NCAA enforcement staff.
Evidently they think they have a lot of evidence because this committee was developed to hear cases that are complex and could result in major penalties.

Wrong! This is a punt to the IARP. Other "complex" cases, such as Kansas, have gone to the IARP process only AFTER a Notice of Allegation was provided to the school. IARP is not an alternative to a Notice of Allegation, it is a way of resolving the Notice. The NCAA hasn't issued a Notice because it doesn't have any evidence that it can use under its governing documents to issue that Notice. So instead it makes its accusations public (through a letter to LSU that is made available to the public through public record requests made by the media - I'm sure after a heads up by the NCAA that the letter is out there) and then punts its to the IARP.

This is the NCAA trying to win the PR game because they have no usable evidence.

kl4, what is the most important word in that quote? You know.....go ahead and admit it.

or, to look at it another way, is this committee reviewing previously known facts of the investigation? Meaning nothing new has been found. Meaning there are no official charges because there is no proof.

Reviewing =/= more trouble.
