. I am so sorry for my ignorance. ..just jumped the gun without reading and feel really dumb. Trichlor active ingredient is TRICHLOROISOCYANURIC ACID. I am so sorry for confusing things.

I mean how could you if it’s oxidizing? other than keeping equipment around it cool, let it burn itself out.

So the only way to put a decomp out like this is spreading the chemical out and putting water on it. Without that this would burn for days or even weeks. I know a supervisor at the plant that is trying to figure out a way to put out the fire for the sake of Westlake at this point, not for the plant.

how much more water could you possibly add that a hurricane didn't?

Turn on the fire monitors and shelter in place or get out. When chemicals want to burn its hard to stop...Beirut.

BTW, I'm not hating. I'm sitting inside a refinery in Louisiana this very instant. We always appreciate the men and women who make sacrifices to help in dire situations. For you and his families sake just tell him to be safe.

Can they even get to the product safely to attempt removal? Hopper and a bunch of metal flow bins?

I’m not sure exactly how they want to go about stopping the fire. I will know more within the hour.

No, it did not warn of legal trouble in any way whatsoever. It may have warned of possible trouble from an employer. And yes, I am an employee in a plant and have been for 14 years. So I know exactly what I am talking about. But me trying to help out OP got deleted. Fine, carry on OP.....
