Pretty weak. Easily should be top 5. But, hopefully the disrespect can add fuel.

This team is going to be nasty. If O can show that last year wasn't just a one-hit-wonder then all bets are off. This program will enter stratospheric levels.

Beat 4 of the teams above us comfortably last year. Feels good to start the season with the disrespect already in place

Ohio state at #2. Will coast into the playoff without playing a game.

Not sure why they would release this. It includes the conferences that aren't playing.

Watch them keep them in all season and the AP won't crown their champion until the Spring

Taking my LSU shades off, its fair that Clemson should be #1 and sure Ohio st at #2, maybe Bama at 3.... But Oklahoma sure as hell shouldnt be above us. Georgia is a push. I actually do think Georgia will have a good squad this year though.

Behind OU. Lol. I guess that historic arse kicking last year and both teams losing starting QB and LB doesn’t mean we should be above them.

They will absolutely do this. If they have good reason to believe that all conferences will end up playing some sort of a season before the end of Spring, expect them to crown their champion in June.

Poor App State and Kentucky. They could've been ranked if the AP didn't rank the forfeiters.

The AP announced a few weeks ago that the preseason poll would include ALL teams.

However, once the season begins and games are played any teams that aren’t playing will be removed from the polls.

quote:

The AP has asked its voters to consider all Division I teams when filling out their ballots, so the preseason poll is expected to include teams from conferences that have decided not to play this fall. After games begin, voters will rank only teams that are scheduled to play. "The preseason poll has always been a speculative ranking of teams based on last year's results and knowledge about the new makeup of teams," said Michael Giarrusso, AP's global sports editor. "This year, we think it is crucial to give all the teams and all their fans a snapshot look at what the Top 25 would have been to open the season." The pandemic has already gutted a significant portion of the season. Two major conferences, the Big Ten and Pac-12, have called off fall sports. For now, 67 out of 130 Bowl Subdivision teams, including those from the ACC, Big 12 and SEC, are still planning a fall football season. The AP panel of 62 sports writers and broadcasters will vote accordingly. The AP provides guidelines to voters that are both broad and brief, understanding the task is more art than science, especially early in a season. The first sentence of those guidelines: "Base your vote on performance, not reputation." "The AP will collect and distribute the votes of our media panel as we always have," Giarrusso said. "Once games kick off, it does not make sense to rank teams that are not participating. There is no solution that will satisfy every fan or every team. But ranking teams that play is the one that makes the most sense."

Bama remains top 3 every year no matter how many players they lose. Lsu starts out at 6 after destroying their schedule last year....smh

This is bullshite. They included the teams that aren't even playing. Technically, the way I read this, we're ranked 5 since Ohio State is about to go 0-0.

I don’t have an issue with UGA ahead of us but OU has lost a lot of depth in just this offseason. They lost their two leading rushers, & a star defensive player.

I know we lost a lot too but I feel like what we have coming back and on roster outweighs what OU has on their roster.
