Have any facts come out about this... I saw claims that he was tazed prior to the video and also that he had a weapon on him.

Any actual facts yet? Body cam footage will be interesting and if both of the above are true, the police should hurry up and release.

So if the call wasn't about him, and it doesn't seem that it was, we will accpet your apology.

It looks like he is holding the gun as he walks around the vehicle. Hard to tell tho.

Watch again. Cops suddenly jump back. The guy walks around the vehicle with something in his left hand.

There were 4 fricking cops there....FOUR and 1....ONE stoned a-hole. They let this guy walk around the car...they followed him with weapons drawn. They allowed it to get to that point. That dude should never had made it to the left front quarter panel, much less opened the door.

This was incredibly bad procedure by the cops.

They will learn one day hopefully.

I guess his dad didn't tell him about how to act around cops.

Tasers would have been of great use, as well.

Cops shouldn't bring tasers to a gun fight.

I don’t think this is all the cops fault but it’s just another example of poor training and general ineffectiveness of police.

i have never heard of such a thing and it's completely contrary to the entire idea of "to protect and serve." if that's true, which i highly doubt, that's the stupidest thing ever. cops would be letting people walk all day every day

It's true. Were you under the impression that the police had an obligation to intervene in dangerous situations?

I think you mentioned earlier in the thread that the police could he held legally responsible if they let someone go who later committed crimes too?

Yeah it was. The fact that they allowed it to get to that point.I'm not saying the dead dude was not the architect of his own demise, but the cops relinquished their advantage and refused to assert it until they had to use lethal force.

They gave up control of the situation.....they are supposed to control the situation

His 3 kids were in the car? That's horrible. From what I gather it was a domestic disturbance call.. was he even being arrested?

Can someone post a screen shot at the 6 second mark? It looks like the guy could have been holding a gun as he walks around the vehicle.

Ok found one on Twitter, but not the best resolution. If you go to the 6 sec mark, you can judge for yourself.

The cops can’t win, assert themselves early and get fired for being to aggressive.

Give this fool every opportunity to not get shot.....and they still get shite on.

Remarkable times

Monday Morning QB'ing from keyboard warriors.

You have no idea what it's like to be in the middle of a situation like that.

IMO, they wouldn’t have let him move with a gun.

I think the OT misses you.

I'm lying, of course. No one can stand you there, either.

Had they taken him down, there would be riots for abusing him.

This is a no-win for law enforcement, which is the goal of the left.
