Just do it already. You’ve been talking about moving on this board for years now.

I spent the day in Baton Rouge earlier this week for some unfortunate circumstances with my dog. Dr dykes was wonderful.

But Baton Rouge is a legit shithole. I thought y’all had been over exaggerating all this years. Boy I was wrong.

It's always been complicated Paul. My wife and I used to own a business here that she ran and she was adamantly opposed to moving. Not so much anymore.

I'd be uprooting 4 people though with the youngest being 13 years old. It's not quite like it was when we were 28.

But you can get wine for $2.99/bottle

Charles Shaw wine - better known as 3-buck Chuck. It’s not bad.

What’s more Impressive is that they also sell a $3 bottle of 100% unsweetened cranberry juice that costs $9-10 in any other grocery store.

You're under-estimating just how difficult it is for a lot of families to move. In some ways it's a great thing because a big part of that is that we like our jobs and who we work for.

In addition to having to relocate two careers, there's also family, friends, and the whole moving with kids process that is daunting.

Move to Plaquemine. You are close enough to Baton Rouge, but not living in the city. If you take the ferry, once you are on the east side you are 8-10 mins from Bluebonnet.

Right now, well ever since the pandemic traffic hasn't been nearly as bad as it usually is... going to Baton Rouge.

Are Trader Joe's parking lots a nightmare in Louisiana? It's a statewide joke in CA that TJ's parking lots are where good moods go to die.

I ran and owned a business in BR and sold to Schlumbeger in 2012. The writing was on the wall then for Baton Rouge. I didn’t have older kids like you, but there are indeed greener pastures and much more friendly business climates to be had.

Well do it or STFU.

Just jerkin yer chain. I know exactly what you are talking about. 72 and I'm still here. I don't even talk about moving any more.

And yet thousands of families throughout history have and continue to do this every single year. Not to mention, it’s not the 90’s. Remote work is more prevalent than ever before.

Nah.

Albertson's holds that title.

No matter what neighborhood or town you are in, no matter how nice the store is, the parking lot is the stuff of horror movies.

These animals are out of hand. Wish they would all just disintegrate. Nationwide.
