Not unfortunate at all. Don’t have to suffer through his whiny needle dick voice during broadcasts anymore.

damn, sucks for all the teams that usually play at noon in the regional broadcast games

Yes it is very unfortunate that he was retarded enough to use a homophobic slur in 2020 in a booth.

No one will notice because no one will be watching

I took NFL games off my schedule for this fall

Too bad Gus Johnson doesn't get caught with an open mic.

Can he claim any percentage of african american blood? Even 1%. If so, he may have a chance to get back on the broadcasts. If not, he gone.

He is not very good. I watch many Reds games and he often inserts his opinions into the broadcast where they are really not needed. I also remember the 2008 National championship game where for the entire second half, he performed the type of verbal fellatio on Tim Tebow that would shame Verne and Gary. He is not the broadcaster you want to go dying on a hill for if you are Fox, especially when he used one of the words you absolutely cannot use in corporate America in its worst possible context.

He's an above average broadcaster and I'm bummed this happened to him.
The one silver lining is I feel like I had really bad luck in gambling with games that he called. Like at least 4 or 5 Cardinals upsets in Seattle.

People forget Kobe used the slur too.

While they're at it can they get rid of Chris Spielman too.
Speilman is so awful and complains the entire time then relives his playing days throughout the game.

How do these guys not realize they can always be on?
And I think some of these announcers being around athletes adopt a locker room mindset.
How Bob Uecker managed to be on air for so long is amazing.
Listen to Norm MacDonald stories.

Honestly, I find it hard to feel sorry for him. It's not like he said this in a personal private conversation. It's not like it was a tweet from 10 years ago. He said it while at work, on the air, live.
Perhaps, he didn't realize they were live when he let it slip, still doesn't negate the fact that he is at freaking work. And he should always assume that whatever he says with the headset on is being recorded.
There are some things you simply never say or do while you're at work. It's not that complicated.
