That’s exactly right, there is a bad hitch. At least on PS4, the swing will just reset if you try a slow backswing. They need to patch this ASAP

I didnt notice a hitch but I stared at the meter so hard mostly. But yeah a 35 percent power putt comes quick

Blows the Rory game out of the water. I'd suggest starting out on moderate to get a feel for it initially. Just shot -7 on my 5th round, so it's time to move up to Pro and struggle for a while like everyone else seems to be doing.

I played TGC 19 a decent bit. Im not an online player, so don't care about that part. I mainly did career mode. 19 left a bit to be desired in that.
Can you put a real name in the career mode? In TGC my name was ooolsutigersooo. That bothered me.
Also, you had to be connected to online to play career mode.
So basically, what I'm asking, is how is that mode. That will likely make my decision on if I get it or not. Hard justifying spending $60 on a golf game, because I know I won't play it as much as other games.

You can create your own golfer with your own name. I have not tried to play and not be connected online but it does have a toggle option to be online or not so I imagine you can still play career offline.

I have been playing on career mode. Haven’t played this type game since Tiger 2005. I like it so far, but only played a couple TPC courses, and I think the others are fake.
The upgrade ability, or lack there of is very different than the old school building a character and selecting attributes to increase. Too soon to know much about how the equipment factors in it seems for me.
I like to play quickly, it’s possible to get in 18 in ~25 minutes. My only complaint is the “highlights” they share from other golfers. They take forever to load and I don’t care to watch any of them. Is there a way to disable these?

Been playing with the Masters swing difficulty with all the meters off. It's tough as hell, but after getting a swing calibrated that feels comfortable and now that I'm kiiiiiinda getting a feel for the short game, I'm really loving it. It's a fun challenge right now.

Once you get the hang of it, you’ll change your opinion. I was AWFUL but then started to get it and know how to adjust. I love how this game plays. Really have to take wind and carry versus roll out distance in mind.

The putting is harder for me than golf club 2. Seems like the pace of swing is way faster so I end up slamming the putt
But with that % bar, I do think once tempo is figured out, putting will actually become too easy.

I'm not on the game now and can't recall where in the settings so sorry I'm not much help there but I can confirm seeing it somewhere in the settings today as an option you can turn off.
