What area of the state are you? I mainly go to the grocery store and church. Grocery store doesn’t care — I’ve visited with the manager (he’s a friend) just about family etc and asked if they’d been “visited”. Said yes and that not all customers at the time had them and that the “visitors” said all was good as there were signs/employees had them on. I keep it in my purse and if anyone asks me to put it on I will. OR if I’m going down an aisle with an elderly person on it, I’ll put it to my face or go down a different aisle.
For mass, I walk in with it, go to my seat, take it off and put it on to go to communion. Every other pew is skipped and Others do this so I will continue to do so.
Masks are a farce. Sorry. It’s all about optics. If they worked, they’d have had us wearing these “face coverings” since freaking March.

You truly believe the numbers in New York would be the same right now if they didn’t go to masks? You think the numbers would be the same if they totally eliminated masks in New York now?

I went to a gas station, Tractor Supply, and a couple of other places this weekend and it was about 50/50 on the mask. Had a sheriff deputy at Tractor Supply and even he didn’t say shite.

If the burnout is simply due to the masks, then why did LA hit the 2nd peak for positive percentage on 7/09, 4 days before the mandate?
If you look at purely case numbers, LA hit its peak on 7/13, and dropped drastically over the next week. No way the mandate worked that fast

You fricking idiot. The virus ran like diaherrea through the whole city of NY for weeks. So many people got it they built herd immunity then locked down hard after. Now the virus is done there because it pillaged their city early. It has to happen everywhere

Nope. That is population immunity. It is at least 20 percent infected with added effects of spreading out/masks.Herd immunity would mean numbers would be exactly same right now if they did everything like normal right now.
