Either you want Coach O to support political leaders or you don't.

It's a sticky wicket when you attempt to analyze whether Coach O should support a particular leader.

There is no reason for him to get a ring
He did not earn it & comes off as a loser that skulks around behind the cool kids trying be accepted

I’d really like to know who paid for the ring

Jindal cut LSU's budget year after year and left the state's finances in a huge mess. JBE came in and said if it is not fixed then LSU football and all of higher education was in trouble. He NEVER threatened to cancel football. He did say that if Jindal's screw up wasn't fixed then there would be no alternative but for more huge cuts. Thankfully he was able to correct the horrific mess perpetrated on the state by Jindal.

Pretty sickening the guy who threatened LSU football for political motivation gets a ring, but I'll leave it at that.

There are people right now who hate O for his positive comments about the President and then there are people who dislike his support for the Democratic Gov.

I think O just wants to support the President and Gov.

I am not sure how to feel about it. On one hand I think it's cool he says positive things about both, but on the other hand I don't care for the Gov after how he used LSU as a fear tactic to push politics.

Context: we didn’t have enough money to pay the facility to complete the semester and give football players (and all students) final grades.

Those are the things you need to stay eligible to play football.

Not me.

Most of LSU's history, politics played a big part in meddling with the program. Governors etc all wanted to stick their hands into the pot.

Wasn't until Emmert came in and hired Saban, that they were able to kick out all the outside people, and run it professionally. We saw the results of that, as LSU has experienced the best stretch in it's history.

After Miles was fired, there were some articles noting that politics were creeping back into the mix. JBE flew to the Tennessee game on the team plane. Then we see him at Burrow's Heisman ceremony.

I like what O's doing overall, but I hate that he's letting the politicians come back in and shmooze around; it's only a matter of time before they start trying to control things again.

Love this. He's been a transparrot leader through this whole thing. Even with the football team he has been on board.

I saw leave the politics off of it but its refreshing tohave a pro-LSU guy in office.

Better than Babineaux Blanco thats for shore.
