I just don't see how this matters or is suppose to be some sort of knock. Didn't he just finish 3rd in the Heisman?
It's especially silly because there were people knocking Burrow for being a "3rd stringer." at some point.
If you have talent, you have talent. It's up to the coaching to maximize it.

I think Myles will be very good for LSU.
With that being said - if the Heisman front runner, potential #1 overall pick wants to come play QB - you let him.

It’s not about tweets or opinions. He isn’t very good and if you’d have watched OSU games last season you’d see that. He had arguably the best roster in the country in a much easier conference than ours yet the Buckeyes went out of their way to hide him. He accounted for 46% of OSUs snaps compared to Burrow (59.6), Hurts (60.1) and Lawrence (50.1). Look at his performance in the playoffs, they were the better team, they outplayed and outcoached Clemson easily but once Dodd went down and the game was in his hands they were out scored 29-7 blowing a 16-0 lead. He turned it over both times his team gave him a chance to lead them back at the end. Trust me, we don’t want that guy especially operating our new system.

Fields is, at worst, a top 10 pick if not a top 5 pick in current mock drafts. Which scenario do you think is more likely?
~He transfers from Ohio State to LSU, which entails academic hurdles as well as personal needs like facilitating a move...all in the next month.
OR
~He quits school entirely and focuses on training and draft prep for the next 7 months.

I’m the biggest Myles Brennan advocate on this board and I say —
If Fields wants to transfer to LSU and we have room we take him
given he understands that’s he’s the back-up and there is no way he will grasp Saints Template & Playbook this close to season opener and that he will compete for a backup spot
