It’s going to end up killing more people than the damn Spanish Flu, and apparently is deadly to most people. WTF is it’s purpose?
I don’t understand why OxyContin is still on the market either

Still very useful for terminal cancer patients though id rather have them on MS Contin
Fentanyl should have no use outside of the hospital setting

Yeah I don’t get it. I’ve had hydrocodone and couldn’t feel my face from the buzz/high.
Morphine is stupid too. Made me feel like a crackhead one second and drowsy the next and then back and forth. Told the nurse to yank that stuff out and just give me Advil.
ETA- I did enjoy the hydrocodone. I’m not some weirdo who doesn’t like to party

I had a big bag of medical Fentanyl strips lying in my kitchen for a year from a loved one’s terminal cancer. It probably could have killed a small village.

We know how much is needed for terminal patients, yet they are allowed to produce and sell 1000s of times as much. Great deregulation? There are a lot of pain killers that aren’t killing 10,000 of people every year.

It’s coming in from China bro. The Chinese are flooding America with it .

hyper powerful, large quantities relative to potency, cheap to make. generic oxy for the global market that can't afford name brands.

The creators of OxyContin were put in prison for lying about how addictive it was, it should have been buried then, not bought out by a major pharmaceutical companies.
I mean we didn’t let ford just give it’s exploding pintos to Fiat, or lawn darts just send to bigger toy companies

Just a couple of years ago it was common for OTers to post about what pills they were partying with on the weekend. You don't see that any more. I guess they OD'd or smartened up.

I mean In smaller doses it’s used for anesthesia the problem is once the cat is oit the bag you can’t put it back in. chemists can make most drugs.
If they can make meth they can make fentanyl. A lot isn’t legally made

It has a medical use, that's why.
Not that hard to understand.

Pumped it into for anesthesia before surgery. It felt like I was melting in the bed care free. I told the nurse and anesthesiologist this must what it feels like to be in a Chinese opium den.

Military medics use or used a fentanyl "lollypop" as a pain killler.
This lollipop is basically a white lozenge on a stick. The corpsman or medic places the lozenge either under the tongue or inside the cheek and the medication is taken up through the tissue in the mouth. Unlike morphine which takes 15 to 20 minutes to relieve pain, the lollipop is effective within five minutes.
It’s also much easier to administer than morphine, which must be injected into a large muscle, and if the dosage is too strong the lollipop can be rapidly removed. The effects of morphine cannot be halted.
