So which sonic is local for you

We don't even have a million people. Hard to call it a big city, despite being the largest city in the continental 48.

Stay just south of Jax in St Augustine. A lot of cool people, the vibe is nice and not too far from the city.

All very different.

If you can comfortably move to Palm Beach then do it.

The rest are very meh for multiple and different reasons.

Where are you coming from?

Miami is a cesspool. Avoid.

Jax is ok. Jax Beach is pretty nice.

PB Garden/Jupiter is beautiful, but pricey.

Given the choice between lifestyle is enjoy and cost of living, I'd choose Jax Beach.

Have a place in Stuart, FL about 45 north of West Palm. Much lower key vibe than most cities on Atlantic side with great snook fishing.

I’ve lived in Jacksonville and West Palm and worked in Ft Lauderdale/Miami. St Augustine and Jupiter are the two best places to live. Jupiter is chill but pricey. St Augustine is a laid back beach town.

Jacksonville kind of sucks just from a few visits. I’d opt for St Augustine if in that area.

That Brightline train they have running from WPB to Miami looks pretty great as well.

I’m a sports junky so the outskirts of Miami near the bright line would be my choice. Miami teams suck arse but my favorite teams would make regular visits

I’ve lived in south Florida for over two years.

The best is Jupiter/PB Gardens, and it’s not even close. Save yourself the trouble and expenses and avoid Miami like the plague.

IMO, the best beach in the area is Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island, which is about 45 minutes away but feels like a whole different world.

I’ve lived all over the country and moved here 5 years ago. Best place I’ve ever lived by a long shot.

I'm moving to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area from Houston at the end of September (job advancement). Miami area is costly but 70% of the people live around there are not wealthy. I'm moving to the Boca Raton or Coral Springs area. Pembroke Pines, Plantation, and Weston are good areas as well. Property taxes are less in Florida, no state tax as well.
