Liberals Returning to an Old Target: Greek Life

Look at this garbage in by inbox this morning from the Chronicle of Higher Education:
LINK
Several days after George Floyd, an unarmed Black man, was killed in police custody, Pi Beta Phi leaders penned what Abro felt was a meaningless, poorly worded statement acknowledging police brutality. She stepped in and helped draft a better version, but it wasn’t published until nearly two weeks after Floyd’s death. She took that as a sign that her sorority didn’t understand the gravity and importance of the moment.
In July, Abro and 17 other women of color wrote an “Open Letter of Group Disaffiliation,” in which they vowed to quit their sororities. The women said they had “been repeatedly disappointed by our chapters and their leadership members.
But at some campuses, the number of students quitting Greek life is striking. At Vanderbilt University, where about one-third of the institution’s 6,900 undergraduates are members, advocates for abolition say at least 250 students have committed to disaffiliating.
Many envision a gradual dissolving of the system: As more members leave and fewer join, chapters will shrink in size. Without a vibrant social scene, the thinking goes, Greek life will lose much of its appeal, and with it, its ability to perpetuate inequality in campus culture.

How exactly does a Greek system “perpetuate inequality in campus culture”?
And are they including black fraternities and sororities in that list? They haze the frick out of their pledges.

Sororities are killing Greek life too. The privileged girls that fill them are a bunch of huge liberal dumbasses with no life experience and are helping dismantle the system.
Granted, Obama killed Greek life as we know it in around 2015 so it’s not like there anything left to really destroy, it’s just embarrassing seeing a bunch of rich white girls post black squares and not understand that these people will kill their first born son if they get a chance

A black frat would brand the Omega symbol on the arms of members during the time I was at Tech.
If anything, the hazing was bad on black frats

Would it be cultural appropriation to try and be a Greek if you are black ??

Killing off the Greek system would be a brilliant way to defund your own indoctrination factories.

Fraternal orders that are not affiliated with the college proper would be a great way to dodge the bullshite from administration.

Because these miserable assholes hate the freedom of association, especially when they're either excluded or they just want everyone else to be as miserable as they are.

They despise the idea of "rush" too. They know they would be 8 balled.

It’s not question iof if but when they come for Ole Miss’ faned sororities. These sweet little Siuthern Belles that have sympathetic to the trash trying to destroy the school are in for a rude awakening when these people turn on them . All of their virtue signaling is not gonna mean jack squat to these evil people.

Oh I’m woke now. Already had block a former poster from here on my personal FB account. He had the gall to literally come out of no where with a nasty tirade about the “Poliboard finally getting to me“. All because I had the temerity to opine about the cultural Marxist’s destroying monuments around the country. YOO HOO Vegas Bengal. ..,I’m sure you still snoop around here even you’re banned. Sorry if you don’t agree that defacing the NOLA Washington statue is not a good thing. frick OFF

What I find amusing about the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion obsession is their silence about the classist nature of the Greek system. Now I have no problem with the Greek system. I could not afford to be in it when I was in college, but I am not going to hate on them for being able to afford it.
But why wouldn't university offices of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion shut the Greek chapters down. After all, they are exclusive by definition, at least on a class basis.
I suspect however, that the Greek chapters will survive the madenss however, for the people who claim to care most about Inclusion could care less about class or economic issues, unless they can be tied to race. Poor and lower income Whites should be screwed according to these people.

Frats are traditionally white social spaces. This is why they must go. I have already called the ADL and SPLC (they’re on it).

First of all this is bullshite.
Second, is this excluding the predominantly African American Fraternities and Sororities? Because I remember back in my day my fraternity and all the other ones were heavily restricted in what we could do but the black fraternities got away with every thing. They hazed the frick out of their pledges, the funniest thing was seeing Q-dog pledges randomly show up with big arse brands of Omega on there arms.

That's a slippery slope. There are all kinds of instances of class-based preferential treatment. It just so happens the Greek variety is typically comprised people of the wrong skin tone / political affiliation (at least in the South).
