I never understood why TikTok got so big anyway.
YouTube, Vine, Instagram all did the job just fine.

Vine has been gone for awhile. YT and Instagram aren’t really the same thing at all.

IMO TikTok is perfectly designed. It’s built for addiction and short attention spans and it works. I’ll miss it.

Laughing at people cheering that trump can ban tik tok does not equal I hate trump.

Better question is do you want trump to have the power to ban things like tik tok?

but isn't that what snapchat does?
Have never used either, so Idk. Also doesn't Instagram do videos?
I never understood the gap it fills.

Snapchat is more built for individual communication between people (like texting your friend but with a picture or video). TikTok is more universal. You can follow people like Twitter and see their videos specifically but for the most part it uses an algorithm to show you the most popular videos of things you like (dancing, comedy, etc) from people all over the world. No need to follow anyone, all you have to do is open the app, swipe, and it does the rest

Jesus fricking Christ....this fricking guy.

First, he can't just ban TikTok.

Second, Microsoft is trying to buy the American portion of TikTok. Trump wants to ban TikTok in the US and is against MSFT purchasing the American portion of the business. In other words, the motherfricker is throwing yet another tantrum, this time because TikTok keeps fricking up his "rallies". They fricked him over in Tulsa. They fricked him over today. He's such a baby back bitch.

A lot of famous zoomers are about to be really sad

Banning something like this is kinda scary though. Reminds me of China.

Tik Tok and most social media makes me feel like my eyes and ears are bleeding and i swear it makes users dumber each time they get on it. That said, i don’t like the idea of the government banning anything.

Ya know how voters 18-24 have always been the most unreliable voters in this country. Let this motherfricker try to ban TikTok, far and away the most popular app with kids in that age group, and enjoy watching what they do in November. It will be, in Trump parlance, incredible.

Banning Tik Tok would be the first move Trump has made in months that I’d support

want to see TikTok banned, but does the Executive branch have power to unilaterally ban something like that?

National Security. It’s literally pirating users data.

Trust me there will be something just like it say Vine 2.0
if this is true. Which without the security and spying so better in long run.

Block it from app stores? I mean I'd imagine you can still use a VPN if you really want to use it, but majority of the users aren't going to do that.
