What’s the difference between mandating a mask for “public safety” and banning an app for “public safety”? Is it the D or R next to the name?

Honest question. What data are they taking from teenage kids that they can’t already get somewhere else?

The ByteDance spokesman said the company hired a consulting firm in Colorado called Special Counsel to analyze TikTok’s app to understand where it sent user data.

Data about TikTok users, including their videos, names, dates of birth and other information, was stored exclusively on computer servers in Virginia and Singapore, said Douglas Brush, who led the analysis for Special Counsel. He added that in the analysis from July to October, which included interviews with TikTok employees and a review of the app’s underlying computer code, his team found no way TikTok could send data to China during those months.

Damn Chinese Colorado people must be in on the conspiracy, too.

I think they’re cesspools as well, but I just don’t support executive overreach to get rid of them.

There’s a giant slippery slope when we start letting the government and even worse any president dictate what we can and can’t use on our own phones because of “national security.”

What a conservative hero Trump is.

It'd be fricking hilarious if it weren't so incredibly sad. It's a cult. People have completely surrendered their values, ethics, patriotism, and common sense in service to Dear Leader. Whether it's to "own the libs" or some misguided sense of hyper-alpha masculinity somehow associated with the guy who wears orange makeup and covers his bald head with a fricking chihuahua pelt, I don't know, but it's fricking shameful.

It's going to be a great day in America when the fog lifts and Trumpanzees realize how many relationships they surrendered, beliefs they abandoned, and values they threw to the wind. Maybe we can get back to Making America Great Again.

Look how nuts you are acting over people who don’t agree with you. DJT is not the savior. He aligns with my economic values and some social values. He gets my vote.

The Left has gone completely insane over this guy for some reason. He is what he is but his performance has been better than Obama on the economy. Outside Covid, I don’t know how he could have done a better job than he has done. Still, the insanity that’s portrayed is beyond the Pale.

Are you up to date on this issue at all? Numerous security officials have recommended taking action against tiktok. Multiple european nations and asian nations have banned its usage. THE BIDEN CAMPAIGN BANNED IT AMONG ITS MEMBERS. Every single branch of our military has recommended banning it

Are you under the impression that this is some random trump thing?

Believing trump can do no right is no less cultish than believing he can do no wrong.

I don't get why people have to know trump's view of an issue before they form an opinion on it.

Trump's views on the matter are completely irrelevant. you should look at the merits and demerits yourself
