I am very tired of the same old coffee every morning. I have been drinking Community Signature and I like it just tired of it.
what do you guys drink...what is your suggestion for a new brew?

Grounds and Hounds
My MIL got me a monthly subscription here and it’s really good coffee. Plus some of the proceeds go to animal rescue, which I’m all about. So it’s a win/win.

I'm old school, or just plain old, but my go-to is your basic CDM Coffee & Chickory. Been drinking that stuff since I was allowed to have it as a kid.

Eight O’Clock. It’s the old A&P brand. Cheap as shite and delicious.

I have been enjoying French Trucks Peruvian coffee as of late.

I mix a big bag of community and the vacuum pack of cdm coffee and chikory. Its got the perfect amount of both flavors, or its the way my grand pa made it and i aint changing.

So you basically have three broad options when choosing coffee:
-1st Wave: Folgers/Maxwell House, diner style coffee who's main claim of quality is "well, it's coffee". You'll taste mostly burnt suit, but it'll get you going and is cheap.
-2nd Wave: Starbucks/Community, you'll see origins printed on bags, but they all taste roughly the same. Almost all are roasted to second crack (around 437*F), and the lighter options usually have too many defects from the farm (picked unripe, too many size variations, etc.) to be roasted properly and avoid the sour/tangy notes. Usually will brag on the packaging about only using 100% Arabica, which is about as indicative of quality as Taco Bell saying "we only use 100% real beef"—I would hope so. Drinkable, but still nothing to write home about.
-3rd Wave: This is the most recent revelation of coffee (started about 20 years ago). Quality is everything, and the "specialty coffee" designation means that only coffees scoring 80 points or higher are sourced. The grading scale is based on tangible observations that ultimately lead to better coffee, and a professional Q grader will look at sorting/screen size, the amount of defects/mutations in the lot (can cause major problems during roasting), and about 20 other variables. Most major cities have at least one specialty/third wave roaster. Here are a few of my favorites (I don't work for any of these, but do purchase their coffee):

Specialty coffee is about where craft beer was in the early 90's. It's growing, and people are starting to pay attention as they realize that coffee can be an experience, much like wine or scotch. Grab a full natural Ethiopian (something with big notes of strawberry/blueberry) and it will change your life.
Good luck, and happy brewing!

For something you can just pick up in a grocery store ... Lavazza
It's Italian roasted ... very, very good. A couple of bucks more than Community, but very good. It was the coffee that was served at El Bulli ... which was considered the best restaurant in the world until the chef got bored and closed it. (If that even matters to you)
Other than that, you might want to see if there are any local roasters you could try. There are a few in the NOLA/BRLA/MS Gulf Coast area ... but I'm not familiar with any "up north."

Starbucks Breakfast Blend or Pikes Peak.
I used to drink Community and it really went downhill 5-10 years ago.
The Starbucks retails for $10-12 but Albertsons, Target, and CVS have sales at $5-6 and I stock up.

95% of the time I will go with the Community Private Reserve Founders Blend, but when I want something different I'll go pick up a bag of Cafeciteaux and grind it myself, possibly bust out the french press. Retail Locations

For a quick grab, we usually go with Community Chicory or Louisiana Private. From time to time, we'll get the seasonal flavor ones.
Regarding the 3rd wave of coffee revelations a previous poster mentioned, we love French Truck out of New Orleans. We also discovered Buddy Brew based out of Tampa on a Saints away game trip and they were solid as well. Buddy Brew

Hey Cafe started a group to home roast in popcorn poppers. I'm sure the roast won't be even and there are probably other drawbacks.
My little girl loves helping me though. First batch from last night.

Find local roasters and buy coffee from them. They will usually rotate beans from all over, giving you easy variance.
