Well this is the stupidest lie ever told.
Looks to me like they know he is going to beat the charges in the Floyd death and this is their fall back position. Worked on Al Capone.

County Attorney Pete Orput was quoted by the legal website as saying that Floyd's death had no bearing on the decision to prosecute the tax evasion case.

Should’ve been paying his taxes.

Those random audits of 5 years of returns completed in less than 30 days are something.

Will he be charged with Hate Crime Tax Evasion?

They didn’t file returns for four or five years.

Probably thought he was above the law.
Considering everything that’s coming out, this man was probably stressed and prob should’ve not been out enforcing laws. He was angry at himself and the world knowing he was a criminal.

Actually looks like they filed, but not on time. They're charged with filing fraudulent returns as well. Didn't report any detail income.

Typically it’s the IRS that initiates these examinations.

This is the states backup plan for when he gets acquitted in the murder trial. The knee on the neck didn’t help but, I also think it wasn’t what killed him.
How the frick was this cop making so much money? Unless he’s working round the clock in off duty jobs, that is a seriously high number of OD hours.

...and Destroya.
See, if you're a D and you break the law by not paying your taxes, you get put on a pedestal with hardly a slap on the wrist. You even get elected to government.

To add to this if you're going to frick the IRS it's best to try and stay under the radar.
