The negative side of retaining players that would normally exit the system is that you will likely kill the recruiting classes because you will have too many payers lined up in front of them.

Seniors give you a one yr effect. Recruits can affect you 3-5 yrs...

Nobody with any kind of a life is going to take the time to read a post that long, much less to draft one that long. You might want to spend some of that time to check to see if your latest unemployment deposit came through.

I guarantee, if you are able to read at the minimum level of a functioning 13 year old, typing out what you did took longer than reading the OPs post.

The NCAA will never allow different programs to have different numbers of scholarship athletes. It totally undermines competitive balance.

If Bama had 15 seniors and LSU 5, that would give Bama an extra 10 players.

Zero chance of that.

If the season is cancelled it might be possible that the NCAA would give a few extra schollies to all schools (also not easy because Title IX may apply) but I see zero chance of allowing one school have more scholarship players than another.

So tired of seeing people use the word"to" when they mean "too".

So your suggestion would be to just royally screw every senior that has waited 3-4 years for their turn to play. College football IS NOT ABOUT THE COLLEGE AND THEIR SUCCESS! IT IS ABOUT THE PLAYERS! I want my team to win as much as anyone, but this is about the players and what college football is all about.

What happens when one team has 100 scholarship players in 2021 and another has the normal 85 because their seniors were good enough to get drafted?

How about a senior that’s graduated, do they get to transfer elsewhere and play for another team to makeup their COVID year of eligibility?

You would have a bunch of COVID eligible graduates gifted an extra year of eligibility. Could be a wild grad transfer portal.

???? For someone who has on multiple occasions in this thread accused others of not reading and comprehending.....ummm. I never suggested any resolution.

I stated that the NCAA would never allow some teams to have more scholarship athletes than others.

As to what is “fair”. Hell, life ain’t fair. The NCAA passed on millions by canceling March Madness while denying the opportunity of hundreds of athletes to win a championship.

This is a weird time. BUT... Football will not be cancelled. There will be less games played and perhaps the season will have a delayed start. But the season will be played.

However, in the unlikely event the season is cancelled, the NCAA nor the Big 6 conferences will allow team A to field 100 scholarship athletes and team B 88. It’s just not gonna happen. Fair or not. It’s reality.

And not to burst your bubble but college football isn’t about the athletes. It’s a billion dollar business. It’s about selling beer and iPhones on TV among other things.

If you care to be serious about resolutions you may want to deal in reality not fantasy.

All 2020 seniors are forced out at the end of the school year.

THEY ARE STUDENTS FIRST! The spring sports that cancelled in 2019 has fricked up Current players. You can’t frick up years for 1. Baseball FORCED kids to leave at a abnormal rate because of this bull shite.
And you are screwing high school Sr and the multi-billion dollar business called the NFL.

Didn’t read that but I’m guessing they would allow seniors to stay another year and they wouldn’t count against the scholarship limit
