LSA is going to drag this out forever. Orlando is about to have a lot more people interested in his new organization, the Gulf South Texans.

The Gulf South Texans are looking for games to play. Email to admin@gulfsouthtexans.com
if you are interested. The team will travel if necessary.

How many teams did you guys wind up with, and what age groups? I heard 4 girls and 1 boys team, but that was a couple of weeks ago, before the signing day

The Fire doesn’t still have teams in NOLA?

And the Spartans have grown in NOLA as well

When my kid played there were several Lafraniere teams, City Park Teams and Audubon Teams. They were pretty much all the best in the state.

Houma and Baton Rouge had some decent teams.

Dont remember Mandeville ever being competitive

Cajun Soccer Club and Mandeville Soccer Club can field teams that are the best in their age group. I'm not sure which club the Tammany Tigers girls team is associated with now, but their team is extremely good and nobody in the state can touch them.

Yeah, soccer players spend half the game huddled together in a small space too.

The U15 and U17 are coached by the same guy as he has sons on each team.

The 17s were State Cup finalists in '19 and went to regionals in LA that year. They also played in the Piedmont Conference of the NL as U16. Since the Piedmont Conference is going back to 1 division instead of 2, they will either play in the Georgia Premier League or the SCCL Club Division this season.

The rest of our teams will play in the SCCL Premier Division this year, except for our girls U19, which will play in the Piedmont Conference. For a "small" club, our teams play at a very high level.

You are only tied into the LSA if you register with them as a club. The clubs would simply have to say "no" and join US Club Soccer. LSA would fold up shop and no longer exist.

This is what's happening in Georgia. The Big 5 clubs have jumped ship from GA Soccer and USYS to join US Club Soccer and formed the Southeastern Clubs Champions League (SCCL). They have attracted other clubs from around the state, plus a club from SC and a club from AL, and formed their own 2 division league under US Club Soccer. The end result is Georgia Soccer has effectively been dismantled as only the smaller clubs have stayed with them.

At some point, someone reasonable will convince LSA, etc. that the risk of the flu is more severe in children under 18. In any given year, 10x more kids are hospitalized with the flu than have been hospitalized with covid-19. In any given year, 10x more kids die of the flu than have died of covid-19.

Looks like every Louisiana team will be playing out of state in the Fall.

Texas, Miss, Bama and Florida are all going to be open for games but we probably won't play (or practice here) until every healthy, not-at-risk kid has been vaccinated.

Go LSA! Tucker your my hero!

Tucker is a clown. He is all in on Covid-19. It is very apparent that he is no hurry to get things started back up. Unfortunately, our Club is following his lead.
