My son's team is our club's "B" level, second team. We couldn't get into the Foley tournament but we are in fall tournaments in Memphis, Destin and Daphne. Even playing an intra-club friendly in Pearl River just to get across the state line. So ridiculous.

That’s a long way for a Baton Rouge team to travel. I hope your team did well and/or got to play some games at the FC Dallas complex fields.

Here in NC we've been going for a few weeks and playing games in SC. This weekend tournaments in NC are starting. Just perspective from another region.

Georgia started tournaments on August 8-9. GA Premier League regular season play started on August 22 and SCCL starts on September 12.

I've refereed at least 4 games a day for 3 of the past 4 weekends, taking Labor Day weekend off.

What's the best source for LSA announcing Phase 3 protocols? Their Twitter?

I’m trying to figure out how to prevent my son from destroying super expensive cleats every month.

It appears they have
quote:

On Friday, September 4th the Governor stated his official Proclamations never prohibited contact sports. By doing so he not only cleared the LHSAA to start football season, but he also established that the language in his Proclamations takes precedence over the directives and guidelines from other agencies and departments. On Thursday, September 10th, the Governor placed Louisiana into Phase 3. All of these factors and others have lead to the LSA Executive Committee to conclude that steps can immediately be taken to safely return to play.

More specific guidelines regarding our return to play will be forthcoming. We must all remember that our return to play will not be a return to normal, but LSA is committed to getting the kids back on the field.
