He’s so charming. Adding this to the list of reasons he’ll never get another dime from me. The list is several pages by now.

look here

he probably shouldn’t act like that on the internet but as a small business owner myself, this is quickly reaching critical mass. Small breweries make money two ways

-draft beer sold by the barrel to bars and restaurants
-taproom sales (draft and cans)

they hardly make any money on cans sold to distributors.

this COVID-19 shite should be long over and/or under control except that our patriots cannot manage even a minimum of personal responsibility and inconvenience.

so yes, frick you and you and you for not wearing a mask in public, and frick JBE and his yes men for singling our bars and breweries while exempting churches and similar. All you have to do is have bars require masks and close at midnight. Of all the places I’ve been it’s bars and breweries who are doing the best at keeping safe while keeping open

now back to my coffee

I keep seeing this repeated (my FB feed is unbearable right now with mask posts), but I have yet to actually be out in real life and see a plethora of people refusing to wear masks. So I'm confused.

New Orleans has been mask-mandatory for what? 2 weeks now? And before that, a large % of businesses were requiring it on their own. I guess I'm confused as to why people think not wearing masks is the reason for increased numbers.

I stopped at Buccees in Baldwin county this AM. The number of non mask wearing fat guys In fishing shirts and their non mask wearing Karen wives is troubling. They’re bringing this shite from Texas to Georgia

employees are 100% wearing them, wiping down, keeping safe and sanitary. Very few patrons are following suit.

Because it totally makes sense to make people wear a mask for all of 30 seconds to enter a bar or restaurants. Wear one to walk in/order then you don't have to wear it again. They would be better off doing a temp check at the door instead because the mask policy has so many holes in it as is. Singling out bars is stupid and ignoring other reasons for the spread

Is there proof of this? I keep seeing this said, but every place I’ve been, it has not been true.

Where? This is very much not the case in BR, and I would imagine based on how much stricter they've been in NOLA, very much not the case in NOLA. And it has been required in NOLA for 2 weeks now.

I feel like we are being preached at to do something that we are all already doing.

I have no doubt there's a few idiots who refuse because MUH FREEDOM, but even those who don't agree with masking have been complying generally speaking. Scott's post makes it sound like the majority of the city is refusing to mask up, and I just don't believe that one bit.

AS I said in the other thread, Scott probably passes by a bar, restaurant where people are sitting down and not wearing a mask. So far every place I've been allows you to remove the mask once you are seated. So his anger is certainly misplaced especially like you say, New Orleans has had a mandatory mask mandate for a lot longer than anywhere else and stayed in lockdown longer than other places as well.
