. Scott's post makes it sound like the majority of the city is refusing to mask up, and I just don't believe that one bit

Don't believe him.

I have seen people not complying, but the vast majority are.

People keep looking to the south saying how many more cases we have are due to not wearing masks. No one has opened up their businesses and economies as much as the south.

New Orleans is almost two weeks behind the rest of the state when moving to phase 2, so there is no surprise there is a lag.

No offense, but you and LL need to come down and see before you just assume he’s talking garbage. Many places are a shitshow. I don’t think a lot of it is malignant my freedom idiocy, but people just aren’t very good at masking. And it’s a bar/brewery. As people drink, they get worse at it, and they begin to wander around unmasked, it all looks bad.

Look, case in point, I ran in the corner store two minutes ago on my way to work and of the 8 people in there 3 were wearing their mask below the nose and 1, the woman handling the chicken, wasn’t masked at all. You don’t have to believe it, but I can tell you that I see it firsthand.

Yep it really hasn’t been good.

Outside of open businesses, private parties & gatherings are showing zero precaution

Breweries in bham are making lemonade out of lemons for the most part, and they aren't bitching and blaming the citizens of their city.

Courtyard makes some awesome beer, but this isn't a good look. Wasn't a good look when he called the Metairie summer camps racists(or something like that) either.

Also, if the dude hates the city and the people so much, why doesn’t he go back to the Wacky West Coast?

He really does belong in the land of flakes, fruits and nuts. Unless you follow him, you likely missed last week’s rant when the 12’ gator in Lakeside was euthanized and he wanted to know why they hadn’t relocated it and said it was another example of police brutality by NOPD.

Link?

I know some of the top breweries across the country are saying their numbers are down significantly, so I’m curious whose numbers are up.

I live in Mid-city now and before that Uptown for a few years. I have not seen this "shitshow" you speak. When people are sitting at tables, the masks aren't on but when people are coming/going to the bar/restaurant and even coming/going to the bathroom I've seen nearly everyone with a mask on.

Maybe we just go to different places, but over the last few weeks, I have seen more people wearing mask than before it was mandated.

Mask compliance around Orleans is WAY better than Jefferson, on balance...and both are way way way ahead of the River Parishes & Houma/Thib. I dunno if the governor's direction on masks will encourage people in the non-urban areas to wear masks...

I have wondered the same thing since I heard about this joker from when he was triggered by Kehoe. It's like he hates everyone. He's got to be one miserable human.

I feel bad for his kid. He will be offended for the rest of his life by everything.

I would think this guy is quite pleased with himself for becoming so popular over this.

He's eating it up. It's obvious he craves the attention and the praise of like-minded social media. I talked to him a few times back at his old place and he was easy to talk to. He just made a triple IPA that he was happy about and offered me some. It's a shame that he can't seperate the brewery from his personal crusade. I think he's been in a spiral for a while now. It's obvious the only way he attains satisfaction now is through inflammatory statements now that he has been outside the limelight. He wants to feel on-top again and social media praise is an easy and cheap way to attain that.

Once he got attention from the whole Kehoe France thing he brought it to a whole new level with his opinions.

Duke needs to interview him on camera and while live ask him why did he call his customers "dumb motherfrickers" and see how he reacts.
