It’s all gone!

Had the misfortune of my wife (I know this isn’t the OT but it still has to be said, no pics) coming to me this morning while cutting the grass with, “I have to tell you something and you’re not going to like it! The deep freezer went out and everything is hot!” So I go look and the damn gfci outlet my freezer is plugged into had tripped! All my deer, rabbit, fish, a whole brisket, 3 pork butts is all ruined! The pride we have as ethical hunters in providing for our family with meat that we have spent in hours and hours and taken ourselves, hurts just as bad to see it go to waste! FML this sucks

Sorry to hear that. After hearing stories like
this I purchased an alarm for mine. I know it does t help now but maybe for the next one.

Happen to my daughter and SIL back in March, but the freezer went out.

I had that happen twice. Once was when Katrina came through and another time the GFI tripped while on a trip in my RV. Every time we take a trip I worry about the freezer.

Why in the world would you plug a freezer into a GFCI? That’s a very stupid mistake. They go bad and causes issue pretty frequently. If it’s around water then I can understand. Change it to a regular outlet and be done with it. Completely your fault.

Man that sucks. Same thing almost happened to me a couple months ago everything had started to defrost but was still fridge cool as far as temp goes. Was able to reset the outlet and refreeze.

Sucks to hear. Get an alarm next time man. 50 bucks saves you a lot of wasted time and money.

Yeah, could’ve happened when he was out of town and that stuff could have rotted in the freezer.
Happened to my neighbor when I lived in a subdivision. That stuff was rank.
