How many of you are fans of the late, great John Candy? If so, what are some of your favorite movies that he was in? I’ll start, my three favorites from him are Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Uncle Buck, and Cool Runnings.

Plains Trains and Automobiles.

Always gets me in the feels when Steve Martin finally puts the pieces together...

Summer Rental has always been my favorite movie of his.

Edit: Delirious is up there too.

Uncle Buck is an all timer for me. Have watched it countless times and still makes me laugh.

Funny trivia I read, they really rode all the roller coasters and in the scene with him and Anthony Michael Hall he actually did get sick. You can see Hall reaching over to get him to put his hands up and Candy shakes his head like frick off kid

Recently rewatched The Great Outdoors and Uncle Buck with my wife, as she had missed both as a kid.

Uncle Buck is probably the better movie, but I laughed my arse off during The Great Outdoors. It's got to be Ackroyd's most underrated performance.

You know you’ve made it when producers will pay you 7 figures to appear in a 5 minute cameo. Candy was that guy and absolutely steals the show when on screen

I love just about everything i’ve seen him in. Would love to have seen him in really dramatic stuff later in his life. He would have been excellent.

Love John Candy. My son wanted to watch Rookie of the Year for the first time last night and I thought about making this very same thread.
