CDC says that covid is close to losing "epidemic status" in US based on the death rate falling so yeah.

Also for those in Louisiana, there are 2 teenage brothers from Lafayette area with covid pneumonia -- one was airmeded to NOLA. This has been publicly posted so I feel it's ok to share. No idea of any other health issues.

So if the last week wasn’t a massive clean up of old tests, why do we only have 11,000 tests today and an average of 9,000 for the weekend? I thought this thing was rampaging through LA? Wouldn’t we be needing more and more tests?

Oh so back to this bullshite “Most of these cases fall between the last week” and not the %?

Yeah we should be in phase 3 and schools should be 100% on campus.

Saw this. The fact that they are both sick as shite suggests a congenital issue. Or maybe they are both huge.

What is the average lag time from a positive test to death? I would bet the next 2-3 week are the real indicator if the rate of death is truely falling despite the spike in cases. Someone please tell me if I am off base with this line of thinking.
