Mel Gibson still has a career because the audience still loves him.

Yeah, that's why I wonder why Variety is focusing on Winona Ryder's allegation.

Gibson's on tape saying worse stuff that what he denies saying to Ryder. The N-word stuff and anti-Semitism has been well known for a while.

Polanski is a Polish Jew, he survived the Holocaust. Well a Jew in Poland at the time.

Hollywood's been moving away from Polanski (finally) over the past couple of decades. I think The Pianist was his last big film backed by a Hollywood studio. He's been doing stuff for European companies since then. And they stopped having him pop up in American films in cameos. I think Rush Hour 3 was his only pop-in for an American film in the past 20 years.

If there are tapes, why rely on a gossip site? He's said some anti-antisemitic stuff while drunk off his arse and that's unfortunate but so is the anti-antisemitism coming from AOC and her bunch.

RadarOnline, a gossip site, was who released the tapes. They're on fricking Youtube and have been for a decade and a half if you want to listen to them now to confirm.

Mel finances his own movies and damn near distributes them as well on his own dime, then make millions in profit because he's one of a handful of filmmakers left that make original films people actually want to see.

He filmed Hacksaw ridge in Australia because he couldn't get it made in Hollywood. The film made $180M on a $40M budget.

His resurrection film will be a massive global hit even bigger than The Passion of the Christ, because of the times we're in and that the film is a far more uplifting story than the crucifixion.

Working and having a career are two different animals. When was the last time Gibson starred in a movie that was worth a damn?

I think Mel Gibson is a crazy person, but also a very talented movie maker. I think that goes for a lot of people in Hollywood.

This is what Jim Caviezel had to say about the movie:

“It’s going to be a masterpiece. It’s going to be the biggest film in world history. I believe it will be based on what I feel in my heart. It’s so imperative in this time, these films can’t be made now. The films they make are Marvel Comics movies. You’ll see Superman. You won’t see Jesus… I got to play the greatest superhero there ever was.”

everyone in Hollywood has skeletons

Mels offenses are saying really horrible things which in Hollywood I will take every day over some of the other crimes being committed by those people

also Mel can fall back on directing and/or starring in Braveheart, Patriot, and Apocalypto

he is a bit of a nut job but also when it comes to film he is part genius
