Jesus does. You’re going to play some philosophical games with that. It will still be true.
Christianity is not genderqueer Marxism. No matter how much you dither.

So no true Christian then, huh?
That said, there is a broad scope for what is considered "Christian". Basically, if you can agree with those ancient creeds like the Apostles' Creed, then you can rightfully call yourself a follower of Christ.
That said, there are a lot of people who nominally profess allegiance to Christ yet reject much of what He taught from a doctrine standpoint. Many liberal Christians agree with the "love your neighbor as yourself" aspects of Christianity but don't appreciate the "love your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength" aspects.

He probably ran around accusing people of being Nazis and cancelled them.
Well . . . He used violence to address hypocrisy.
Some later authorities say he took a mob with him.
What he did was almost certainly illegal.
So, yeah, I can see some parallels with "progressives" pulling down statutes.
Now Jesus was dead within a week. So there the story differs.

The story should end in the same way.

Can you give me a biblical reference for that creed? I just need the chapter and verse.
TIA.

ask a basic democrat what they base their morals on. they have less than the Boy Scout motto

The dems/liberals are the children of Satan. So, naturally they are for everything that is perverted and are against everything that is good.

According to who? Who could even possibly have the authority to make this call? Are Mormons Christians? They would say so. I know others would say no. Again, who could possibly have the authority to make this call?

I don't necessarily disagree with you about people cherrypicking the parts of the Bible they most align with. That's super human of us.

The entire point of Christianity is absolute objective truth. There is no perspective or interpretation. Don't bring subjective readings into that. Humans don't get to "choose" what they want about Christianity.
Have we, as humans do, messed up? Of course, that's what we do best (and again, is the entire point of Humanity. We are messy, uncoordinated beings with very myopic view of existence). But there is one, and only one, truth.

quote:The scriptures, themselves, provide the standard. There are many creeds and confessions that summarize those standards in terms of what is considered requirements for being a Christian. There have been many heresies over the years that have perverted basic truths to the point where those who believe them are considered believing something that separates them from fellowship with God through Christ.
According to who? Who could even possibly have the authority to make this call? Are Mormons Christians? They would say so. I know others would say no. Again, who could possibly have the authority to make this call?
No, Mormons are not Christians according to what the scriptures teach about Christ. Like Muslims, Mormons start with the foundation of the Bible but then change critical aspects to support their own beliefs through additional books (Qur’an and Book of Mormon).
The Christ of Mormonism is not the Christ of the Bible.
