That's fine if a private business is asking patrons to wear a mask as one of their current rules, but the government is mandating masks. That is what people are taking issue with.

I don’t think TABC has authority in Baton Rouge so that could be why.

I was just giving an example of how the capacity limit can be enforced.

Someone passed out at an outdoor graduation last night
Had to call EMS
Didn’t see the person but was told it was someone in a mask

I don’t see it being enforced outdoors

dude. I don't think masks do shite either but some ppl feel safer when others are wearing them. I just respect workers in those situations.

It's been that way here, but a lot of the bars are operating well above the 25% capacity. My friends who live in Chicago have told me it's been similar there. So unless officials really start enforcing the capacity limits the mask orders don't do much.

Bars and restaurants haven't had inside seating...though I think that's starting up now because we're going to progress to phase IV. What is kinda cool though is that they've closed down some city streets to allow for open air markets of sorts so more people can be served.

Obviously, the "everyone outdoors" thing wouldn't work as well down there due to the heat.

Im both instances, I didnt alter my life at all

I didnt smoke before, didnt change anything

I didnt wear a mask before, havent changed anything

So we are only doing this because "some peoples" feelings? Some people feel that mandating masks are an infringement of our freedoms. Whose feels are more important?

I was wondering about this. I shattered my iPhone on Friday and I've noticed people standing outside of locked Verizon stores when I pass.

If I'm not allowed inside at all even with a mask, I am not baking in the sun. I'll order online.

The AT&T store I went to was only letting one person in at a time.

Lots of businesses are doing that

[quote]My issue is that there is no plan. It’s all just watch and react with zero guidance as to what the endgame is... where the thresholds are... what specifically caused a change. Same stupid shite that started this all. They fricking WANT another shutdown./quote]

The question is who has the reliable, valid data. It’s out there but seems to be ignored for political reasons.

I feel more in danger when im in public with a bunch of people in masks. Why are my feelings less important?

I had to replace my phone. AT&T store was limiting the number of people inside, everyone had to have on a mask. The employees were touching everyone's phones and handing them back and forth, no gloves on anyone. They wiped down the plexiglass shield between customers, but everyone just handed stuff around the glass.

They put hand sanitizer at each table, the kind you have to touch.

It's a bit hit and miss. They wear and mandate masks, but go around touching everything bare handed.

I will wear a mask when I go in places, but I won't stand in line to go in anywhere. I either go back later or order online.

I’m still not seeing where she said businesses will be fined for not enforcing. I’ve only seen her say BRPD is enforcing the ticketing of people
