They added Viacom channels which includes mtv, paramount, etc. I don’t watch any of those channels so I cancelled. We have been watching less and less tv lately anyway. Time to rip the band aid off completely

Laughable. Time to drop. They were differentiated but another streaming service trying to replicate cable. Shocked... people left cable because they didn’t want 400 unnecessary channels and will now leave YouTube TV

Ugh, why are these services doing this? It's like cable. I might now consider Hulu instead.

What’s crazy is this is literally the worst possible time to announce this decision. World pandemic where millions of workers are unemployed? Check. No sports to broadcast? Check. Announces to raise tv price by 30%. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills

I just got the email. I'm gonna cancel as well. Hopefully they get massive cancellations and then reconsider.

Yep, that’s it for me, cancelled.

It’s literally cheaper just to get the cable bundle now.

Just cancelled. Probably moving to sling or hulu

Anyone have any advice on those two? I'm mostly interested in sports channels

ETA: Nevermind I see sling doesn't have the golf channel, looks like I'll be going to hulu live

Everyone who knew anything about Content knew cord cutting would lead to same prices or higher eventually.

It was the amazon model. Completely break the entire industry then jack up prices.

I love Hulu Live. I kept cable around for far too long just because of live sports, but I’ve never not been able to watch an event on Hulu that I wanted to watch

For those cancelling now, make sure you read the email. My price change won't go into effect until 8/27. I can wait until I know if having cable at all in the fall is worth it with/without football.

And yet you still get incredible value out of an Amazon prime memebership so I don’t really see the complaint

I haven't paid for TV in nearly a decade and haven't missed anything. Just Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime and I'm set.

That's a good point. I guess I'll hang around to see if YouTubeTV backs down or changes this to an optional add-on. If not, then I'm out.
