Made a wager with the nephew today after some woke discussion of the current state of affairs. We pull the top 30 Itunes Hip Hop list. Any song containing b*1tch or any variation of n*$$er fails. He gets the most passes, I have to listen to his playlist for a week. I get the most fails, he has to listen to 80's Country music playlist for a week.

Drum Roll.....

Old Man 23 Woke Nephew 7

It was a blowout early but woke nephew made a 3rd quarter surge with some recent mainstream artists sneaking in. In the end, the dual threat proved to much.

Stats:
N Word Variations - 17-30
B Word - 16-30
Tie Breaker was B&N Combo - 13-30

I shall toss in some extra Kenny Rogers to honor the man and bit of extra Haggard to balance it all out.

Made him copy the fail lyrics and read them with a straight face. Would post but pretty sure it wouldn't be allowed.

Side Commentary..No wonder our country is so screwed up right now.

I don’t understand how adults listen to rap, especially with kids in the car but to each his own I guess

Exactly what I said about the "lyrics". He listens with no idea what he is actually listening to. Not to go all old man, but he says that "N" word with today's environment and loses a scholarship, job, or worse gets killed.

I understand if you typed this from your phone. It gave me a headache trying to put together exactly what was being said here.

Be careful, the Native Americans are not very found of the fact the boomers went in and took all the good land before it could be appropriated.

I won’t allow it. When you’re 20, you can listen to it, but small kids are impressionable.

People can argue until they’re blue in the face, but it glorifies crime culture and gangbanging and the criminal element in society.

I full expect downvotes and people trying to what-about me or justify the music.

95% of the genre is trashy af.

I don't care about rap. But did Stormy Daniels die or not?

For some reason, I really thought it wouldn't be as many of the songs as it was. I listen to all music just mainly as background noise to me.

He was super uncomfortable reading the lyrics aloud.

They are just words but if they are in 80% of the songs in the genre, there isn't a chance you could ever program them out of the current vernacular.
