Margot Robbie

Hmm
She's fully woke and into the "no revealing clothes for women characters" vomit. It will be two hours of an average actress playing a part in a lame movie for a franchise that died 2 movies ago.

Neat.

Saying this about someone whose vagina you've seen when she complained about an outfit in one movie feels dishonest, at best.

This is true. Maybe more like two and a half hours. Not sure why you needed the preface but to ensure that you came off like an complainy arsehole.

I'm sure it will be nominated for an Oscar under the "new rules"

Odd, yes, but it is a new policy, evidently, and won't just be the one movie. This is the overall sentiment going forward for a lot of these roles.

Hollywood logic in 2020:

Hey, you know that actress who literally just headed a franchise film with a pre-built in audience, and it completely bombed....

Yeah, let's sign her to healm our $200 million reboot of a franchise that died 10 yrs ago!

Oh, and while we have one of the hottest women on Earth signed up, we're not going to have her wear anything revealing or have any sex scenes... And treat her essentially like a butch lesbian pirate!!

Oh man, We're going to get so much Twitter aplause, all while losing millions!! It's so worth it!

I’d much prefer to see someone actually good at acting. Or maybe a new movie concept completely. How does Hollywood continue to get this wrong? Nobody wants a female fronted remake, and the box office and reviews continually prove it. It’d be one thing if these were doing well financially, but they’re losing money

This is why. People will still watch it. Not an insult Vox. Hell, i will absolutely check out Margot Robbie as a pirate. Disney always been known to hide in plain sight with their perverted sexual innuendos so i hope they just let it all out with her

As much as fans don't understand the constant remakes...I don't see any studio stopping at making remakes until they stop bringing in revenue

Remakes = less money spent on writers.

All female remakes will go over well if the actresses are hot.

I agree.

Oceans 8

Ghostbusters.

They both bombed correct?

The only thing that may save this movie is people being sick of Depp playing the same role on and OFF screen.

It's amazing that Hollywood refuses to admit and accept that there is no market demand for female led remakes, especially ones that are just forced as hell.

This is going to bomb and bomb so hard it's lighting money on fire.

Margot Robbie really has no business sense at all. Her acting skills have a very limited range which limits the availability of projects to her which means less income.

And what does she do with that? Completely ignore and neglect her biggest money maker, her attractiveness and incredible looks and focus on making herself less attractive thereby costing her more money.

She's going to learn pretty quick that audiences are not a fan of paying money to see average to bad actors being unattractive.

They are willing to lose money because they are being propped up by donated marxist funds.

Hollywood doesn't make movies anymore, they make doctrine.

I actually think she's underrated. She was great in I, Tonya and Mary, Queen of Scots.

To be fair, she has been in some garbage, too.

I mean, even the mixed cast sequels of Pirates were unnecessary
