Could see Silver pulling the plug on the tourney due to Florida cases going up...hoping the "bubble" Gives them enough peice of mind to keep it going.
Really really want to see baby birds get some meaningful game experience and see what happens.

I'd be shocked if there's any basketballffootball or baseball at this point

Obviously it can all fall apart, but this is the week the ball starts rolling for restarting the season.

The NBA obviously planned for contingencies such as this. They will probably end up leaning on Disney to test employees more often.
By itself, more cases in Florida does not imperil the season in any way.

The biggest threat is the Wednesday deadline. What players bail?

Basketball I don't think comes back.
Baseball is up in the air. But they have other stuff to worry about on top of the coronavirus.
No way for football. It's still too early. I think they end up the only sport to come back and play with no fans

If they play, and i think it's a big if, it's going to be a shite show.
they are going to make players not play for a week or two b/c they tested positive, even though they are perfectly fine, but once Lebron tests positive, and has a bitch fest about how long he has to sit out, shite will hit the fan and it will all be cancelled.
With how stupid we are with this silly virus, i just don't see the point in even trying to play, unless they want to ignore the virus crap completely and just finish the season.

Nobody but it will only take one for everything to go to hell.

If multiple players test positive on Tuesday than this thing will likely be shut down IMO. (Which of course doesn't make that much sense, given that they can be isolated for enough time to recover and still make Training Camp, and they will know all of the rest of the players are clear).
Everything is a house of cards right now and fragile. I could see it not happening.

Is Gentry high risk, maybe he shouldn’t participate?

What? The league already knows that lots of players will test positive tomorrow. They aren't idiots. That's why this is happening the way that it is. Those players can be isolated and positive tests can be held to a minimum once the players get to Orlando.
And it's really very unlikely that there's a big outbreak in Orlando. Testing everyone in the bubble every day means that they will catch any infection before it spreads. The only real risk is if some Disney employee somehow gives it to a bunch of players at once, but that seems unlikely.

The league knows it. It’s rational.
The media and players are not rational.
Things will build and spiral if there are a ton of positives.

It's completely rational to not want to risk your health as well as your family's.

The risk of getting COVID-19 is going to be much lower in the bubble in Orlando than it will be otherwise. These guys haven't all been staying at home -- a number of them have been at recent protests, for example.
The only real health risk is of injury, but that's just part of playing basketball.

Not really. We are increasingly learning just how little risk there is involved here, and the players are probably SIGNIFICANTLY safer in their bubble than they are out in the real world.
And that is an understatement.
