the Democratic Party shifts closer back to center or goes even further progressive ?
I mean, the last 2 presidential nominees(Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton) are pretty centrist Democrats. Sure, they both have some progressive views you can cherry pick to label them something else, but the party has rejected the unquestionably progressive Bernie Sanders twice now. And while Obama was probably the most progressive Dem president since Kennedy(or arguably Carter), he was still pretty centrist in many respects.
That said, the party does have a very vocal progressive wing that has gotten more vocal and more influential over the last 5-10 years. There will be an interparty struggle over the coming years between the progressive wing and the more centrist wing, but the same could be said for the Republican party post-Trump. For every AOC from the left, there is a Ted Cruz from the right.

Well I’m not included in gay rights either so I’m not sure what you’re getting at
And as of now, I’m not in the top 1% and not super affected by fiscal decisions.

No gerrymandering. I just don’t typically call DFW “North Texas”. I think it’s a little broad and vague. It’s sorta like calling metro Atlanta “north Georgia” or Metro Houston “Southeast Texas”.

The biggest problem with most states is that they are controlled by their biggest city. Sure some small town in Washington state would be amazing, but you still have to deal with Seattle politics controlling every thing you do. California also.
I don't mind differing opinions but however I can't stand differing realities these people have. The biggest problem is that liberal progressive govts have taken over everywhere. It's because the Conservative side just wants to be left alone and free and so once the perceived threat goes away, they relax. A SJW doesn't quit. They never quit. Doesn't matter if you give them all their demands today, tomorrow there will be a new list. It's like a cancer that is never satisfied.

Okay, yeah I agree with all of this. Makes sense. We’re in agreement.

I see where you’re coming from but at the same time it doesn’t change that much of your day to day life. A person living in a very red California or Washington county isn’t hit as bad as the conservative living in the state capital county. The scenery and lifestyle of rural counties in the northwest would be worth Putting up with the bs state politics imo.

DFW is North Texas though so it doesn’t really matter what you call it.

Can’t believe they erased the history of the first gay Vice President

Used to hunt in the UP of Michigan. Nothing but drunk rednecks and bars in every town.

I lived there for a few months. We were frying turkeys outside for thanksgiving In 8 degree weather. LSU flag hanging from the house! The locals drove by and gave us several “wtf is going on over here” looks.
