Three Indian army personnel, including a commanding officer, have been killed in a "violent face-off" with Chinese soldiers in the Himalayan region of Ladakh, an Indian army spokesman has said.
The incident on Monday night follows weeks of rising tensions and the deployment of thousands of extra troops from both sides in the region.

China is trying to rewrite international law on multiple fronts and expand their territory without actually declaring war. They’re doing something similar in the South China Sea. In short, they don’t believe anyone has the balls to stop them.

Case in point:

But sources and Indian news reports suggested that India appeared to have effectively ceded to China areas that the People's Liberation Army occupied in recent weeks, notably parts of the northern side of the Pangong Tso Lake and some of the strategically important Galwan River valley.

Close to half the world's population resides in those 2 countries.... A thinning of the herd was inevitable.

A war consisting of a third of the population of the planet can't be a good thing.

How is this any different than what’s been going on there for decades? Has no one been paying attention?
