I read that he’s also an edge defender.

He can play edge. Watched him play it last year. He may outgrow, but he’s fun to watch. From the film I saw, I’m impressed. Also has above average speed/explosiveness.

Nobody can question this family's love for LSU, especially considering the treatment his dad got by a BR radio host after the 1993 auburn game.

“Seeing the minor thing I went through at LSU and seeing how my kids handled the adversity with their mom makes me feel so good about how strong they are,” he said. “She was a rock throughout her sickness and my kids have all gotten that from their mom. Walker probably reminds me of Kathryn the most with how he deals with things.”

And it is why he feels his son is prepared to make the biggest decision of his life.

“I think Walker is very mature for his age and knows what he wants,” said Jamie. “He had a plan when he talked to me and my dad. I really wasn’t for it at first of making a decision so soon, but he handled it so well in not wanting to see other coaches spend their time recruiting him.

“His final statement was you raised me as an LSU fan and mom wanted me to go there. Why would I want to go anywhere else?”

Well we know we aren't losing this kid's commitment. His late mother wanted him to go to LSU.

Seems like a great kid.

Jamie was known for having a big arm on the gridiron as well as the mound, and his son shows plenty of arm strength for someone 6-foot-1, hovering around the 185 to 190-pound range. That will only improve as his body matures, giving him the ability to push the ball down the field to the deep quadrants a little more.

Accuracy is something that Walker has shown early in camp settings and he has a smooth, tight release. Fundamentally, he is ahead of the curve with his footwork and his athleticism is often overlooked, clocking a low 4.6 (40) at some camps.

And he’s only a junior.

Don’t have a sub to Tigerbait but props to Mike S for being all over his recruitment.

Both recent QB commits seems like guys other players can rally around. Everyone mentions their talent level but there should also be a strong leadership QB room with these guys that are on board.
