That’s kinda what I’m thinking. Gonna leave at 4am and hopefully get there around noon, depending on how much time I spend in bucees:lol/

Had a pretty good cell come through a little while ago. Probably 30-40mph winds. Nothing major tho.

As others have said, weather is crap today. Steady 15-20 mph winds, rain is on and off, and kids are losing their minds.

Been here since Friday. Yesterday was intermittent rain but some beach time in. Today is a wash out. Squalls moving through with wind and rain. Fun to drink beer and watch but the beach is empty. We walked out a little while ago in between rain bands and just got blasted by the wind and sand.

Me too. Family has had a camp in cabana beach estates since the 70s.

Just left after a month in ours house down there. It was starting to get too crowded for me. Just got a report the storm ripped off the screen door on my back patio.

Dauphin Island is pretty wild considering this is just a tropical storm. Surf breached some driveways and flooded all the roads at high tide. Surf was was also breaking over some poor bastards car under a house on the Gulf Side.

I’ve never heard of someone refer to this region as “northern gulf”. It’s the panhandle

Just left Ft Morgan and headed to West Beach. Some localized flooding but that’s all. I’ve seen much worse in my 10 years here. Took a walk on the beach between bands. I’ve only seen water past the dunes once. Labor Day weekend in 2012.
