Same people that teach them they were the kings and queens of egypt that built the pyramids before the white man came and destroyed it all.

In the 19th century European countries and the US abolished slavery during different years. But each nation experienced an increase in economic development after discarding slavery.

if slaves "built" the United States then why didn't their brethren in Africa build anything similar there? Or exponentially greater since they were free and unopressed?

I'm AA, and this is one of my pet peeves. I always ask if slaves built Hononolulu, Seattle, and San Fran as well.

In Louisiana after the Second Reconstruction and up towards World War One many miles of "highways" were built with prison chain gang labor. Before the Civil War in New Orleans many Free Blacks owned slaves that were rented out to do day to day labor. No one mentions that. The Civil War was not really necessary because McCormick and John Deere would have made slave labor a nuisance. During the 1793 many southern states were considering ending slave because owning slaves was becoming unproductive.At that time cotton was not a profitable product because of the high labor cost (yes,it cost money to own slaves) of removing the seeds from cotton. But here comes Eli Whitney ,who invented the cotton gin only because he wanted to impress his girlfriend's slave owning dad(who was a slave owner). This one invention caused slavery to last 72 years longer.

How would they ever believe that? Every job I had there were black contributors but the drivers were overwhelmingly white. How the Hell would they drive change back when they were slaves when they don't do it much now, when their opportunities are unlimited?
