The goal throughout this has been to incite an incident that the MSM can construe as a violent overreaction by police, or better yet “Trump’s” military.

The Brass know that they CANNOT allow the US military to be used to protect Trump because then Black people will get angry and won't join up to be in the World Police Force US military.
It's as simple as that. If Black folks didn't join the US military there would be a much smaller US military.

I'm trying to tell you what the Brass might be thinking here. They don't want the US military politically affiliated with Trump or his political Movement. The Brass thinks Trump is seen by all minorities as a Racist and they have concerns about recruiting.
If you don't think that's a consideration of Esper and people like that, then explain your own educated guess WRT how they think. I'm a retired military Officer. I base my educated guess on what I know.

The US Army is more than 17 percent African American. In fact in fiscal year 2016, 24 percent of the US Army enlisted ranks were African American.
In any event, I'm talking about Recruiting. Not every recruit who joins up makes it all the way out of training to the duty station of an active duty unit.
