Maybe...Maybe not. However, if they (NCAA) believe WW violated NCAA rules by making an inappropriate offer to a student-athlete, that would NOT be considered a "ticky tacky thing."
My point is that LSU will probably get some sort of violation and it may not have anything to do with the Wade “strong arse off” at all. That was there reason to start looking into LSU when they don’t find anything concrete they will find some sort of minor violation and hit them for that. Won’t be anything major but that’s just how the NCAA works. They never investigate a school and find absolutely nothing.

there seems to be more and more information coming out that a "letter" is forthcoming from the NCAA
What information? Don't confuse Dickie V's LSU hate or the rest of the media hoping for a scandal with some sort of insider knowledge.

because the NCAA has already investigated the Smart incident and cleared him last year when he played in the tournament
I would not "hang my hat" on this as proof of anything. The NCAA could simply announce that "additional information has come to light." And there goes your case.

You're right. I don't watch ESPN or other sports show. I generally stick to the sporting events themselves.

I'm not saying LSU won't get a NOA. In fact, if I had to bet I'd say they will. But one of these is not like the other.....
Auburn, USC, OSU and Arizona ALL had coaches plead guilty. Text messages were introduced at trial between Bill Self and an assistant coach with one of the Adidas employee's that also plead guilty. Those text were talking about a specific player which evidence showed received a specific amount. Louisville (under Pitino) had evidence of the pay for play with Bowen.
Wade certainly had the most egregious statement by any HC. But other than that, NOTHING has come out clearly establishing what and/or what amount Smart, Reid, etc received to come to LSU. Or if they received anything at all
I'm not naive enough to think Wade wasn't "playing the game" or that Smart, Reid, etc. didn't get anything. But it seems like the pile of actual evidence against Wade/LSU is smaller than the other schools based upon what has been reported.

Auburn had an assistant coach (Chuck Person) arrested for, more or less, doing the same thing Evans was caught doing. So did Arizona (Book Richardson). So did USC (Tony Bland). So if the NCAA follows the precedent it just set -- and who knows if it will? But if it does -- then Auburn, USC and Arizona, at the very least, can expect postseason bans. And, again, don't forget that Kansas is facing five Level I violations compared to Oklahoma State's one. And that LSU's coach was on a wiretap talking about a "strong-arse offer" made in violation of NCAA rules. And that Louisville was on probation when it had an assistant knowingly participate in a pay-for-play scheme involving former five-star prospect Brian Bowen.

Define "strong arse offer". It could be a hamburger and a coke. Or maybe a full scholarship,

Is a hamburger and coke more than G league minimum pay?

But the amount of damage it will cause is still undetermined. So easy to punch holes through dumb arse analogies such as these.

What dumb is to think that nothing’s coming, like the echo chamber here does.

The NCAA is just about to be obsolete.
