there was a thread about these people on here from a year or so ago. a couple vets of that war had kids when they were in their 80s or something and coincidentally some of those kids pushed 90+

There's a clip from a 1950's tv show(What's My Line? maybe) on youtube that has someone on there as a guest that was in Ford's Theater the night that Lincoln was shot.
He was only 5 or 6 at the time. But it's still hard to believe that someone that witnessed the Lincoln assassination would also live long enough to see the age of television.

John Tyler, the 10th President still has living grandchildren.
He is the earliest former President of the United States with living grandchildren.
It's crazy. He was President in the 1840s.

Ok, so she was born in 1930, her dad fought the in the war in 1863. That's a 67 yr difference, so he was at least 67 when she was born.
Edit: article says he was 83 when his much younger wife gave birth.

Surprised that family could show their face in NC with the father being a traitor to the CSA.

Irene Triplett,
Ironically, Irene absolutely loved the N word, and was heard using it aboot 100 times per day. She often was heard saying "Hello N", "Thank you N" etc. to cashiers, hairstylists, medical personnel, etc.
She did not discriminate, and called every race and creed on the planet "N". She was a recreational philanthropist, so all that knew her benefitted, and didn't seem to mind her eccentricities.

John Tyler, born in 1790, became the 10th president of the United States, taking office in 1841 after the death of William Henry Harrison. And two of his grandchildren are still alive!
