You made the computers and phones that will lead to automation and the loss of even more jobs? Or did you make the computers and phones that cause people to work longer hours for basically the same pay and not even have the ability to turn it off due to their jobs following them wherever they go? Either way, great work.

Think about someone born in the south just before the civil war. Let’s say 5 years before. That son of a bitch would probably still be hard enough to fight in WWII
At the age of 87?

Is this the weekly thread where we make a bunch of generalizations about other generations? Cause boomers were given everything on a silver platter then fricked over everyone after them.
they still got drafted during Vietnam. I'm sorry, but giving up your life for that was pretty shitty that no one after them had to experience.

I don't know. I'm a millennial, but I kinda feel like the generations that died in the Civil War, WWI, and WWII kinda had it worse

You can't expect Boomers to understand that. Muh war! Muh Dust Bowl!
Posted on 5/27/20 at 1:14 pm to Bench McElroy
Lol. I'd much rather be a millennial today than some fricking farmer in the dust bowl during the depression. Or just about any other place on earth prior to 1900.
People make up shite to complain about these days. That's when you know you've got it made.

Civil War lucky. Reconstruction lucky. World war lucky. Spanish Flu lucky. Great Depression lucky. WW2 lucky. Korean War lucky. Vietnam lucky. Now- not so lucky.

If you made it through though, you were able to experience what will probably be the most prosperous time in the US.
Yeah, but you still had to go through the shittiest childhood of any average American outside of the Civil War or if you were unfortunate enough to be enslaved.

You brought it on yourselves.

I know.
Is that the only thing that impacts generations?
Posted on 5/27/20 at 1:16 pm to dgnx6
And then they voted us into every never ending war in the Middle East. Gee thanks.
