Defenses will be more fun to watch. Way less reaction and more proactive approach

Both won a national title while coaching at LSU. It's hard to say right now.

Can we let the man coach a game first? I know people soured on Dave at the end, but it’s hard to improve much on what he did here. Bo was a great hire and I expect him to do well again.

Yeah but one won because of their defense...the other was just along for the ride

Bo Pelini's defenses will be SIGNIFICANTLY better than Aranada's, especially between the 20s.

Aranda was great at lsu, but the defenses were very leaky.

Miles gave up Steele for aranda
Steele has had some impressive defenses at auburn
I have nothing bad to say on aranda
I would say the lb’s were featured more by aranda and he turned out some good ones
I think o prefers more from his de’s
I think Pelini will do fine
O is not afraid to change things and you have to in this day and age of college football
I’m excited to see what wrinkles Linehan brings to the offense as well

In terms of the style yes. Coach O wants his defensive lineman attacking making TFL’s Sacks. He wants more turnovers also. This exactly the brand of defense he envisioned since he took over. Nothing against aranda at all, he was a great defensive coordinator but man am I excited about this 4-3 defense with Pelini and the helm. He matches the intensity and fire Coach O wants as a person and also defensive coordinator!!!!

Pelini’s defenses were some of the meanest ever at LSU

No

But there won’t be a big drop off

Will miss Aranda’s creativity and ability to get the best players on the field

And he was the best 2nd half DC in CFB. Elite adjuster

I like Aranda and hope he does well at Baylor but we upgraded. I just hope Pelini stays for awhile.

Bo had top 3 defenses at LSU. Aranda regressed every year seemingly. I’ll say Bo is an upgrade

Man how quickly you guys forgot they teams Aranda held together with glue given how completely clueless our offense was for years.

OH yea? What teams were those? The 2016 team that went 8-4 and had the #5 scoring D? 2017 that went 9-4 and had the #15 scoring defense? Or 2018 that went 10-3 and had the #39 scoring defense? So I guess his one top 5 scoring D held the team to an 8-4 season in 2016? Awesome. I'm not hating on Dave Aranda because he certainly helped LSU win a national title, but his defense fell off big time starting in 2017. He had one great year and 3 mediocre to bad years.

The first two sentences of this post are undeniable facts. Will the downvotes please explain themselves.

Aranda also coached more highly drafted players.

He was fantastic in the Clemson game. Not so much against Texas, Ole Miss, or Alabama.

He also didn’t utilize Queen for large chunks of the season, which is strange.

Will be very hard to say at this point. There’s a reason Dave was offered a HC job at a pretty decent D1 program.

Bo was/is no slouch either though. His defenses were incredibly aggressive. Almost like an offense playing D.

Will be fun to watch.

it would appear Dave has at least 7 accounts. or more than likely we just have some ignorant fans bc Bo is far better than Dave.
