We were the CBS night game for 8 years in a row from 2011-2018. We lost 7 of the 8.

This past year the game was played in the 2:30 slot, and I think it really helped LSU to change the routine and get out of the funk surrounding the game.

What can we do to change the routine and keep things fresh this year? I say wear the purple jerseys and make Bama wear their all-white away uniforms.

Joe Burrow was going to beat bama last year if the game was played at 11:06am, 2:38pm, or 7:05 pm.

LSU would have beaten Alabama at 2:30 pm or 7 pm or 2:30 am. Wouldn’t have mattered

It'll probably be at 2:30 again because of Bama-UGA.

But just to be clear we would've beaten their arse at night too

The routine has already been changed. It changed when we beat their arse last year. And RTWFU was the cherry on top.

What?! LSU is the defending national champs! The CBS prime time game will be LSU vs Bama no doubt! They are not putting overrated UGA on instead of LSU! Lol

Don't set yourself up for disappointment because they absolutely will.

The routine was changed when we found a quarterback who could get the ball to his playmakers and lead a group of men to victory. That’s the recipe

1. The game last year at 2:30 was the most watched game of the year
2. UGA and Bama guaranteed to both be 2-0 and in the top 6ish.
3. Clemson at ND on NBC 11/7 night.

Those 3 factors make it really an easy choice for CBS. Totally sucks tho

For the purposes of getting the prime time slot, we were better off being bad this year so the ratings didn't do well. But as I suspected they crushed, giving CBS all the incentive in the world to elevate games that either a) are rare (UGA-ND, UGA-Bama) or b) need some juice (maybe UGA-UF in the future?).

Luckily it doesn't look like that contract will exist for much longer.

Run an offense that makes the cover the whole field every snap. On D, stop the run and make 'em beat you with Jones' arm.

we didn’t lose to Bama 8 games in a row because we were “in a funk.”. And iit sure as hell wasnt because of the game time.

Well they are without two of their four headed monster at wide receiver. Play press coverage on the two remaining to stop the passing attack, and use ika and shelvin to eat up the middle. I’m not sure who our main pass rush will be, but I imagine that marcel brooks will play a big role.

For offense we should definitely utilize our tremendous tight end talent. Arik Gilbert is a freak who will be a threat everywhere, but don’t sleep on the other tight end from Colorado. He’s 6’7”, and shows a lot of potential. In the red zone, he’ll be dangerous. If you can put them both on the field at the same time, and manage to have them both involved in the passing game, then wow.
