I went to get a haircut Tuesday. They checked my temperature and also required you to wear a mask.

Got a haircut today. They supplied a paper mask, had me sign in, then had me wait in my car until they could seat me, which took about 30m, then they took my temp before seating. Then a quick cut and I was out.

Got mine yesterday and she ran down a list of all the things they were required to do.
- Check temps upon entering.
- Wait in your car for her to come get you.
- Wear mask.
- She was supposed to wear a mask AND gloves.
- She said they were told to be prepared to shut down at any moment if things got worse.
- Said they could come in and check to make sure she was following the guidelines.
- Also said they were told to prepare for it to be this way for up to 3 years.
None of this happened though. I walked right in. She had the mask and gloves sitting on the counter. She was keeping her door locked, incase somebody happened to show up to check on her, then she could put the mask and crap on and pretend.
Cutting your damn hair shouldn't be that difficult. And three years? Ridiculous.

Mine also told me that they have to keep records for three years of appointment schedules.
And there can’t possibly be enough salon inspectors in this state to visit all salons and barber shops and nail places other than their normal “inspection”.

The most pissed I have been in all of this is finding out my barber never let up on his schedule and has been cutting the whole time.
I'm over here looking like a Bama fig with these bangs (which look incredible) and I could have been trimmed up.
Didn't wear a mask when I got my fade right this week. Didn't want it getting in the way of my bourbon.

I didn’t have to wear it at Mercer during my cut. I was asked to when paying and interacting with the lady at the counter.

Most hairdressers also use their appointment book as an income ledger. Appt - Name, date, time, amount paid. They have always (or should have) kept that information for however long needed for tax purposes.
If they haven't been reporting all their income they will now have to keep a separate covid appointment book

My barber is an old school baw. No appointments, just walk ins. Hell, I don't think he has a business phone. Masks are fricking retarded but I'll gladly wear one if it's the law of the land right now. I just didn't know if I needed to bring one with me or not. Don't want to get my barber in trouble or put him on the spot. I just seriously can't keep up with our dumbfrick governor's ever changing list of bullshite. Sounds like it's hit or miss so I'll bring one. Thanks!

Barbershops and hair salons open this Monday. Appointment is required. Already called my girl Becky who is setting me up for Wednesday. Muh Governor wants a mask but I’m sure Becky won’t give a shite if I don’t.

I mean government can say you are supposed to but it’s really up to the individual businesses. I would have one handy in case they would like you to wear one. I think it’s important to respect the businesses wishes.

Went to sport clips on monday to tighten up the mullet and yes, had to have a mask. Might have been a sport clips policy.

Short answer is, yes.
Each place kind of just runs itself though. If owned by a "Karen" you know the answer.
But most places are just letting their barbers decide once you are in the chair.

I would imagine franchise bb shops yes. I asked my barber if she wanted me to and she said no. and she's cute.
