The reason platooning was a failure last season was the drop off in talent.
Are you talking 2019?
How was it a failure? Lol
The best guys should play the most reps & 2019 proved it.
In 2018, the best players did not play at WR. It was atrocious

Whoever stresses the defense the most, whoever provides the mismatch on any given Saturday. I see it being Racey AND Trey.

I like Jenkins a lot. He’s a better mover than McMath.
McMath is very fast. He’s a big straight line guy though.

You and I are agreeing. Don't take one sentence out of context in order to prove an argument that wasn't made.
The guys who got most of the snaps in 18 were not as good as the starters in 19. Therefore no platooning.
Th argument against Brennan is also a fallacy for that reason. Brennan was usually on the field with second teamers, who like Brennan, didn't get as many reps in practice.

That is my argument.
Platooning WRs like they did in 2018 is stupid.
Play the best players. Easy.

Racey is physically imposing and can block. Having Chase, Marshall, McMath, and Gilbert running routes, we will physically outmatch any secondary.
My question will be what ratio will be change personnel. No doubt last year we kept the same personnel on the field the majority of the time to eliminate the defensive substitutions and play fast.
I’ll be interested to see if we keep that same approach and I hope we do.

They did in 2018
They didn’t last year
You do the math
Yeah. The biggest difference between '18 and '19 was the fact that we didn't platoon WRs. That's where the magic was.

He reminds me of Devery Henderson.
He beat anybody and everybody on long routes.
He’s going to be open and Brennan has the arm to get him the ball.

This should have been your statement. When you have 3 clear cut players above the others, it's easy.
When you don't (hence this question) you are looking around to find that 3rd receiver that put you in that dominant position again.

Never said that.
I am more talking about how in 2019, Chase & Marshall buried 4 WR's who all got to campus ahead of them, including 2 Srs.
Yet in 2018, Chase was very obviously the 2nd best WR on the team. Yet they would take him out the game every other series. I remember once they took Chase out the game the next series after he torched a DB for a touchdown. It was very much detrimental to the offense.

Just depends on the situation. But McMath is a match up
Nightmare for defenses
Nightmare for defenses

2018 approach to WR personnel was terrible. We only played D.Dillon and J.Giles in the slot. We never put our best WRs on the field at the same time. Giles was terrible. Praying Linehan doesn’t screw up what Joe Brady did with personnel.

I think the battle is between Racey and Trey, depending on how quick Kayshon picks up the playbook and blocks downfield he will have some playing time also.

can see a few plays featuring Stingley this year
