It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the isn't the person that the political machine and the trial lawyers get behind for the next gubernatorial election.....he seems like the type of guy that could be bought off by JBE's friends.

Can you tell me what is in the proposed bill? Meaning - is it a bailout of COVID related costs or just a general bail out?
It seems to me that a Fed shutdown can cost states just like it can cost people / companies.
If it is just a “here is some money” without it relating to COVID ( Fed policy) created costs , then I agree it is ridiculous

The states were always going to get money for the lost revenues. If not education and healthcare in Louisiana would continue to get slashed. I’m good with it if it is for lost sales tax revenue etc. it just shouldn’t be able to be used for pensions or states that don’t have balanced budgets shouldn’t get a ton of money to make up for their budget shortfall.

Fact is, TRUMP jumped up and down and all but demanded states shut down businesses. That caused drops in tax revenues as 100 percent of taxes are tied to economic health.
The money can't be used for pensions which is the big problem a lot of these liberal states have. There should also be a limit to prove that only the amount of money lost from corona issues should be covered.
