Credit towards a product or service? Ive done the the Ford credit in the past, disney credit, even bass pro. They all eventually go to 1%.

So whats the best bang for the buck no annual fee card out there?

I use mostly Citicard. 1% cash reward at time of purchase and another 1% at time of bill payment. So essentially 2% total.

I have an AMEX with 6% cash back at grocery stores. Pretty nice with all the shutdowns right now.

Capital One Savor and QuickSilver are both good. Savor is 3% on dining/groceries and 1% on all other purchases. QuickSilver is 1.5% on all purchases.

I disagree with this.

Citi double cash back card.

Some options:

Discover has rotating 5% back categories every quarter, but only on the first 1k you spend in the category (and you don't have control over the category)

Bank of America and US Bank have similar deals with higher amounts. BoA gives 3% back on the first 2500 and I think USB gives 5% back on the first 1500. Both rewards are only for the spending in the special category you chose each quarter.

Citi has the 1+1=2 total cash back already mentioned and Fidelity has a flat unlimited 2% back when redeemed into an investment account.

USAA has a card that gives 5% back on gas purchases.

There are two options for Savor Rewards that give 3 or more % back on restaurant purchases but the higher reward option comes with an annual fee that may cancel out the higher percentage back (do the math for your personal spending to decide)

I have that card, a few months ago they offered my 0% interest for 6 months on a balance transfer. With a 1% transfer fee. Was getting a new roof so I took advantage.

Wasn't expecting to get 1% back when I paid the bill in those first six months. It negated the transfer fee.

Came to post this and it's on the first $1500 you spend in that category... but 1 % on everything else as well...

plus discover will match your entire first years' cash back at the end of that year...

their customer service is really good too... absolutely recommend that one

Alliant is 3% for the first year and 2.5% thereafter. No categories or any other restrictions.

This is exactly what I do except I've added in the Chase Freedom and only use it for its 5% purchases (usually groceries or gas). Chase lets you pool your points across cards, so the Freedom points can be used for the discounted travel rates provided by the Sapphire Reserve.

Chase Business Preferred has a $95 Annual Fee, but is offering 100,000 bonus points after $15,000 spend. The offer used to be 80,000 for $5,000, but they apparently just changed it. 3% on travel, Internet, cable and phone, 1% on everything else. I cancelled my CSP for this card
