I'll have some cool shite to leave to my kids though.
Maybe cool to you but experience has shown me it’s usually not nearly as cool to the next generation. Nobody wants late Paw Paw’s lãmo Model A.

It’s your money so that’s all good. I’m not flaming you, only making an observation.

Items like that aren’t fungible either. If you have more than one heir it can become a subjective valuation issue for multiple toys.

Fact is, unless you die suddenly and young, most don’t have much left when they die....those last several months of life typically burns through a whole lifetime of saving.

I’ve told everyone who will listen that I want to go out as close to the same person as they remember me to be, preferably after a massive diamorphine overdose.

So, applied to your hypothetical, I wouldn't give much, if any, credit to either of them

You are a real judgmental piece of work.

charities
when are you people going to open your eyes and see that charities are just modern money laundering scams? The clintons did just wake up one day and realize a charity is the way to go.

I know of two families that will tell you St Jude is anything but a scam. Their operating expenses are audited by an outside firm and open to the public.
How many families do you know personally that will support your claim they don't fulfill their promises and are a scam?

My parents told us they aren’t leaving anything to anybody. They plan on doing what they can to spend it up however they see fit while they’re alive.

Your parents sound like typical boomers whose parents probably lived frugally and left them a nice chunk of change.

Just purchased a life insurance policy worth 200,000. 100 to the wife. 50 to each child provided they are 18. Still owe 81000 on the house so I hope to have it paid off prior or the wife won't have shite left after getting rid of my corpse and paying off the house.

Depends on your heirs. If they suck or on drugs, it’s got to go somewhere else. Give it to something you believe in.

If my wife outlives me it is hers.

If I outlive her it will be split between my two kids.

Either way it makes no difference to me if I'm frickin dead.

Heirs. My kids are all preppers. I am confident they will spend the money wisely and my bloodline will survive the fall of western civilization.
