Think of the vitamin D deficiency.

Seriously, people would go crazy from not seeing the sun.

This is how you get Morlocks.

That’s what folks who have beachfront property in California are doing now.

There’s a height maximum so their garages, storage space, mechanical spaces, & indoor basketball courts are underground.

This is a stupid idea.

-Tremendous excavation cost and energy. Larger footprint for less livable space. Where does all that dirt go?
-Ever seen videos of those abandoned missle silos and see how they hold up without pumps running constantly?
-No benefit for emergency egress, still need tunnels or elevators for quick exit.
-Wonder what the air quality is at the bottom?
-Poor incoming natural light in living spaces compared to vertical construction.

The view from a corner office 10 stories down is fn amazing.

I'm under contract for a missle silo summer home in North Dakota.

I’ve thought about this a lot actually. Can you imagine the energy savings. A constant temperature.

Yes.

Makes sense considering that Mexico City is on a huge plateau

They build it and then sell it to us for $1.00. It's a diagram from Mexico City.

If Mexico is doing that, we’re probably in space.
