Moar testing!

Now you'll need another test the day after..oh wait, now! You need another test NOW!

Has it been 5 minutes? Another test!

And guess what...you'll need another test after this next test.

And then we can really start testing! You'll start with a test, end with a test, a test in between the start and the end, ....

Yep.

The unreasonable target has been chosen.

I am interested to know if I’ve had the virus because I am the only one to take care of my 85 year old mother and would like to increase our time together and the liberties I could take when around her. Apart from that, I could care less about testing.

We had ours (blood draw, not prick) a little over 2 weeks ago.

Wife results = SarsCoV-2 IgG Ab. 9.603 Positive
SarsCoV-2 IgM Ab. .854 Negative

My results = SarsCov-2 IgG Ab. .170 Negative
SarsCov-2 IgM Ab. 9.155 Positive

Her work paid for hers. I came out of pocket for mine.

The results didn't come with a translation but according to the google. IgG is antibodies. IgM is the active virus.

I work for a large healthcare system. Had my blood drawn at 1145 for the antibody test. Had my results at 1pm. Negative.

Our results are showing that this virus is exponentially less infectious than the WHO and CDC idiots proclaimed.

Of 150 nurses that treated Covid patients, only 1 tested positive for the antibody.

So you have it and your wife had it? I still don't know what I'm looking at with the numbers

I just paid the $119 or $130 after fees to skip the doctors note. Go to their website and purchase it there. During the purchasing process you can schedule when you want to go in. For the people out there bitching about testing, me and my wife were the only ones in there and there were appointments available all day long. I know it’s not the same test as the active COVID test but by now I’d imagine many people have had it and were asymptomatic and already have the antibodies which are IgG on the test.

I guess. Sent the results to my doc for a translation but have yet to hear back.

The testing complaint is bullshite. I get texts everyday from the city telling me testing is available for free. Come on down.

So if y’all are positive it doesn’t mean you had it. If y’all are negative it doesn’t mean you didn’t (false negative). If one is positive and one is negative I wouldn’t know what to think.

Had one done last week. It’s a blood draw.

The doc who spoke with me afterwards is skeptical about the overreaction to COVID.

I’ll probably mess this explanation up, but in a nutshell, a negative result doesn’t mean you didn’t have it. If your body didn’t generate enough antibodies to show a positive result, you could still show negative and have had it.

That is what they told me and my wife and a lot of other people we know.

Well shite, no telling how many had false negative results.

That’s unfortunate. We wanted there to be many more infections out there. So the death rate looks better.

Both IgG and IgM are antibodies

IgM antibodies form quickly after infection and then go away quickly. Positive IgM means you have an active infection or very recently Recovered.

IgG antibodies take 2-4 weeks after infection to show up and they are the long term antibodies that are thought to give immunity.

Testing positive on either means you had it.

’m in my 30’s, healthy with 2 kids. Had a terrible cough and dizziness back in March. All 4 of us. Kids were down for about a week. I was 2 weeks and my wife’s cough lingered nearly 3 weeks. Fairly convinced we had it. Cost me about $250. I’ll update in 3-5 days when the results come back! Really hoping we had it!

Which company did your antibody test? If it was just the one where they do the drop of blood those have not been accurate and have false positives.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/healthcare/coronavirus-antibody-tests-show-conflicting-results

"The research suggested that of the 14 tests on the market, just three delivered accurate and reliable results, the New York Times reported. And some consumers want answers."

Probably. Hygiene is probably the biggest thing.

I had it done on Monday. I was sick for most of February about 3 weeks like everyone else. I was basically treated like a pneumonia patient and even was prescribed the inhaler. Felt like i had the flu or strep. Was running about 100 degree fever, chills, throat was on fire, and a nasty cough. Mine came back Negative!
